see spot run.

Oh hey, guys. Despite my return to school (my last semester!), my adventures have not increased. Except if you count seeing that Fiji water bottle at a bus stop filled with some curiously yellow-brown liquid. Cue moans of disgust....

No matter how exciting or not my life is, I have something to share with you. Most of you probably know what it is, use it, or have at least heard of it. It's called Spotify and you can find it mostly on Facebook. For the longest time I saw people continuously posting about what they were listening to on Spotify. I was mostly annoyed and therefore ignored any curious feelings. The same thing happened last week when I was too lazy to go get a space heater for my room so I just miserably slept in the cold until my bed warmed up. Until I overcame my stupidity. Now I am warm AND smart. The same thing can be said of Spotify, my friends. It's like a free version of iTunes, except you can't download (legally, I assume) the songs onto your media player. Basically, you download Spotify and can listen to whatever artist/song you want to as many times as you want. I am currently drooling over Hans Zimmer's latest album, Sherlock Holmes 2. It's a serious treat.

Just like Spotify! Seriously, if you're still here and haven't checked it out yet, I give you full permission to cast me off immediately (for now) and immerse yourself in what promises to be hours of blissful music discovery.

the first of the last.

First day of my (actual) last semester proved to be eventful. I kid you not, if you need a boost or surprising event to happen in your life, RIDE PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION.

First, on my way to the train station, I almost got side swiped by some stinkin' Grand Am. They're called blind spots for a reason. Check 'em.

Second, while waiting for a bus I noticed an opened bottle of Fiji water. Only there wasn't water in it. It wasn't beer or apple juice neither. That crap was pee. Ha ha ha ok, you have to admit that sentence was kind of funny. But that bottle wasn't.

Third, and last, there were crazies on the bus. Just like always. These ones enjoyed talking to themselves loud enough for the rest of us to hear.

Through everything that happened, it's as if my first day of my last semester was welcoming me back. With homicidal drivers, urine filled transparencies, and aspiring socialites.

missing adventures.

Nowhere is quite like New York City. Especially Utah. Not saying that I dislike Utah because I like it quite well, thank you very much. But there is a certain sense of adventure that I've been missing since my trip. This also could do with the fact that I've had no classes for 4 weeks, and have only been doing the same things over and over again at work. Which I enjoy. *Disclaimer to prevent getting fired.

To fill this void, I have gone on a couple of cooking adventures these past two days. Note: there are no pictures to protect the innocent. The innocent are the food because they did nothing wrong and their mangled images should not be shown on the internet.

First up was pot stickers. Easy enough: you pulsate some ingredients into a mush, wrap them, fry them, and then steam them. If you don't know what happens when you fry something and then are required to add water to steam them, bless your soul. Also, never try it if you are faint of heart. Hot frying oil and water combine to make a miniature explosion in a pan. This I already knew, and yet I was still not ready for the chaos that ensued. By the fourth and fifth batch of pot stickers I was able to get them out of the pan cooked and whole. The previous ones weren't so lucky. It was almost like eating the stuff that's in my grandpa's pictures from the Korean War. But more tasty.

Tonight's adventure was wontons. Can we say Asian Invasion? When everything is said and done, let it be known that frying is much better than frying and steaming.
