Uber sorry for the unrealistically long delay in posting. I've been working on my vocabulary since the last post, can you tell? In all actuality, I've been writing some papers, while simultaneously procrastinating writing some papers, performing, choreographing, not sleeping at night, sleeping when I should be doing other stuff, eating food, but not making guacamole and taking pictures of it to share with you guys like I said I would, and other stuff that I am so positive that you would love to hear me ramble on about for another paragraph or so. But I digress.....Or something.
While I still do not have the fabulous guacamole recipe/picture album like I promised, I do have some other super exciting things I would like to give to you. They all come in the form of a website, so I hope this site isn't your last visit in Internetland before you wander off and do something more meaningful with your life because these websites are awesome and will require some remote region of your brain to be active.
First, is Houzz. It's like the online equivalent of an architecture/interior design clippings collection. You can create your own "ideabook" and constantly be adding pictures to it, including little notes about what you like about the photo. They have many different categories that they post about every week, each about different elements and how people have incorporated them into their homes. Go to the website, check it out, you can look at my ideabook if you wish...My name is 801kchris and my album's name is Ky's Likes and Loves.
Second runner up (and I'm honestly not rating these, I just wanted to say that) is the Harvard Sailing Team. This is a sketch comedy, or improv, group. They are in no way affiliated with Harvard University or its sailing team...But if it was, I kind of think that it would be that much more funny. Plus they look like they could be sailors if they wanted to. Anyway, the first video I recommend watching is Boys Will Be Girls. Hi-larious. Personally, I think the videos that have the boys being girls and vice versa are their funniest, but form your own opinion.
Third, I would like to draw your attention to the fact that I changed the background. No, this is not entirely noteworthy news, but I thought I'd bring it up anyway. I love bright colors, especially green, and the background options for blogs that include awesome pictures are vast and so you might even be seeing more changes. Don't worry, I'm still the same dancing carrot, just with virtual wallpaper ADD.

at room temperature.
Once upon a time, three years ago to be precise, I started taking my lunch to school (college) with me every day. This complicated things sometimes because trying to keep cold foods cold was a little difficult, even with the help of one of those frozen block things. Seriously, people, they don't really stay frozen for 6 hours. There was a fridge at school, but it was too stuffed and disgusting for me to want to store my delicious sustenance in there. So lately I've been packing yogurt into my lunchbox. And it drops to room temperature and consistency. And it is delicious. Call me crazy, or perhaps even unsanitary/unhealthy because who knows what those yogurt bacteria do at room temperature, but it is so delicious.
And so we fast forward to today. I packed cookie dough. No, not cookies. Cookie dough. And I can't wait to start eating that goopy mess.
P.S. Next time, I think I'm going to introduce you guys to a little thing I like to call Magic Bullet Guacamole. Stay tuned.......

zak and les.
There was this one time when I wrote about how I was scared because I watched the show Ghost Adventures. Well, I must admit that I've been watching it again. And again. I just can't help it. It's just so fun to get scared. Plus, there was this one episode this weekend. Zak took his shirt off. Yes, yes, of course it was for the sake of getting a response from the spirit of a nun, but it was also highly enjoyable to watch. In fact, that same episode is on again tonight. And no, I'm not watching and waiting for it to come on again.
...
Anyway, during my Ghost Adventures marathon, I stumbled upon a showing of the 25th Anniversary of Les Miserables on PBS. I have never seen this show, but have heard many good things about it. This recording was absolutely phenomenal. The celebration took place in a gigantic arena in London (the O2) and was completely packed full of people. Since I loved what I saw on TV so much, I looked up individual videos on YouTube. One of the comments really piqued my interest. It said something about liking the comment if you were watching the video and not because Glee brought you there. Now I have been guilty of advertising the fact that I knew about a band or what have you before they ever became famous, I think this is going a tad bit far. I think it's just great that pop culture is able to lead someone, especially of the younger generation, to look up a video of Les Miserables. I say, the more exposure the better. So congrats to you if you were cultured before any of us brainwashed, normal simpletons, but please excuse us while we try to catch up to you.
If you'd like to join me in listening and watching the spectacular 25th Anniversary, watch this video to get you started.

sue me.
I realize that, once again, I have been MIA from my little blog. I do apologize, but at the same time say sue me. "You can't rush art." Spoken by the old toy repairman in Toy Story 2 (who also happens to be Jerry from the short film before A Bug's Life)...Not that I'm saying that what I'm writing is art. It's just another excuse.
I really have been trying to think of something to write, but since the bosom-nestled chihuahua story, I haven't been able to find anything that could compare. So I'll just start over.
Yesterday, I was riding the lightrail system in Salt Lake City, and we passed a St. Patrick's Day parade. Yeah, yeah. St. Patrick's Day is on the 17th (next Thursday), but it's not the ideal day of the week to hold a parade so they had it on Saturday. Well, two gentlemen, who didn't seem to know each other, commented on the parade. This is how their conversation went:
"Is it St. Patrick's Day today?"
"I don't know. When is it?"
"Today's the 12th. That sounds about right."
"Yeah, the 12th...St. Patrick's Day. Okay."
"Dang, I'm not wearing green. I'm going to get pinched."
"Yeah, neither am I. Yours could count for green."
"It'd be a stretch, but yeah."
The man was wearing orange.
In honor of my Irish heritage, I would like to proclaim that St. Patrick's Day is on the 17th of March. It always is. It's not going to change. Because of these two men, I know feel it is my duty to educate every single one of you that read this that St. Patrick's Day is on the 17th of March.
And please don't ever think that you can wear orange and try to get away with it being green.

off of the face of the earth.
I'm writing today (tonight) to quell all rumors about me falling off the face of the digital earth. I am still here. Just a lot busier and tired-er than I normally am. I know your lives have been much affected by the absence of my blog posts, but I crave your indulgence for just a few weeks longer as after that, my life will slowly creep back to me and start being mine once again.
Now that we have thoroughly established that I am still here, I have a story. Surprise. About something I saw while on public transportation. Even bigger surprise. I was on the light rail, and at a stop, saw a lady who was ill clad. I don't mean she was being a hoochie mama or anything, but considering the chilly early morning temperature, her sweatshirt and capri yoga pants were definitely not cutting it. She was quite the voluptuous woman, and had her head tucked down. I just thought she was keeping herself warm. Until she lifted her head. Popping out from, well you know where, was a chihuahua puppy's head. Not kidding. And it was the size of a large lime, with eyes the size of walnuts. The poor thing was shaking...Obviously the reason why the woman had her head tucked down. I'm not reporting a case of animal abuse or anything, because, let's be honest, a busty woman's chest has got to be quite the mattress, especially for such a tiny, bony, little dog. I'm just preparing you for your next mass transit encounter with a lady who has a chihuahua stuffed down her shirt. Because it will happen. And you will be ready.

the word that has been ruined.
Five or so years ago, you could say this word and everyone knew you were talking about a time of day. It's been put in songs to make the singer seem more romantic. Now whenever I hear this word, I cringe. Yes, I cringe. Hearing this word reminds me of the terror that the book-turned-movie is and continues to be. If you honestly haven't figured it out yet, the word is twilight. Ugh. I just shuddered. You may think that I write from ignorance. In fact, I used to be one of those blubbering, love-sick Twi-hards. Now I just got to the movies so I can find new insults. Immature? Probably. Petty? Definitely. But Twilight asked for it...
*Bella is ridiculously selfish. And self-depreciating. And unable to handle more than 5 friends at a time, if that.
*Edward is a pushover. Plus he can't pick out jewelry.
*Japser is not allowed to suddenly have an accent in the third movie. Especially a southern accent. Seriously? Maybe I should finish out the rest of my life with a Spanish accent.
I would just like to say that all girls are not as crazy as Bella. Granted, some of them are, but a good majority are not. For instance, I can't think of any girl I know that would kiss a super attractive, Native American boy with his shirt off right in front of their boyfriend.
I can't figure out how that can be considered good literature. It would make a good soap opera, though.

patience.
I find it most ironic that I am writing a post entitled patience, mostly because of the fact that I have little. I have been trying to get the shirts in order, but they aren't going exactly according to plan.
Hello, life? Yes, you're doing that thing you do when you don't do what I want. Please stop.
Nevertheless, I know that there is at least one person who wants a shirt and to him I declare "You will get your shirt!" I just don't know exactly when.
For now I encourage you to save the first two weekends of March and the first weekend of April to come see me dance. That should help ease the pain and depression from not yet receiving a shirt.
